“When” an NFL Player Blog!
So we received an e-mail this afternoon, from a guy representing Chris Horton. Horton is a Safety for the Washington Redskins, and he has a site, Predator48.com. Apparently maintaining a blog is a hefty job for an NFL player, and they thought, “why not let some schmuck do it.” So they have launched a contest to “When a chance to become the official blogger for Predator48.com”. Yep, the site says “When” not “Win”, and keep in mind you are only going to “When a chance”:
So of course we have never had a typo or a grammatical error here on Gunaxin, so let us be the first to cast the stone, and fly the flag for proper grammar and spelling. Oh, but it gets better. Chris dedicated an entire 13 seconds of his time to ask you to enter :
For some reason I really have the urge to piss now.
This is the e-mail that we received :
Chris realized that Redskins fans are extremely opinionated and would like an outlet to express those opinions; therefore, Chris has come up with a Pre-Season Blogging Contest! Chris is inviting all of his fans to rate/summarize his and the Redskins performance after each Pre-Season game. Chris is looking for bloggers who can entertain him and provide a perspective that is “out of the box.” Contestants will be required to submit a summary within 48 hours of each game to email@example.com with the subject “Horton Blogging Contest” and have a maximum of 1500 characters. At the conclusion of the Pre-Season the winner will earn the right to blog on the Predator48.com for the entire season! The winner will also win a signed Predator48.com!
Now that I am past laughing at the implementation, I must say this is a fairly ingenious idea. Therefore, we would like to launch the Gunaxin Blogging Contest!
Gunaxin is inviting all of its fans to write for us. Gunaxin is looking for bloggers who can entertain us and provide a perspective that is “out of the box.” Contestants will be required to submit an article each week to Editor@Gunaxin.com with the subject “Gunaxin Blogging Contest” and have a maximum of 1500 characters. Once we are bored with this idea, the winner will earn the right to blog on the Gunaxin.com for as long as we can put up with them! The winner will also win a signed Gunaxin.com!
