Northern Iowa WR Breaks 40 Record
Northern Iowa Wide Receiver Terrell Sinkfield didn’t come into Minnesota’s Pro Day as a top draft prospect, but that may have changed in 4.19 seconds. That is how long it took Sinkfield to complete his second 40 yard dash attempt, a time that is five hundredths of a second faster than the previous record, a 4.24 posted by Titans Running Back Chris Johnson.
While the time is considered unofficial (it didn’t happen at the combine), the results are likely still fast enough to get the attention of scouts looking to help their downfield passing attack.
And it’s not just on the track that Sinkfield has put up impressive numbers, as the senior receiver led the 5-6 Panthers in receiving last year, hauling in 43 catches for 499 yards. That total includes six catches against Wisconsin and seven each versus Southern Illinois, Missouri State and South Dakota.
